Softball Falls Short in Opener at Fordham
GW softball fell on Saturday in a tight series opener vs. Fordham in the Bronx, 5-4. The Revolutionaries dropped to 15-13 (5-5 A-10) ahead of games two and three of the series tomorrow. The Revolutionaries went ahead first when Ashley Corpuz smacked a two-run homer in the third. It was Corpuz’s fifth home run in the last seven games, and the 35th homer of her career, inching her closer to second all-time in GW history, now one behind Victoria Valos (35 career home runs).
