SMITH SHINES ON FRIDAY AT RALEIGH RELAYS
RALEIGH, N.C. - IU Indianapolis women's track senior Julie Smith put up a monster effort on Friday night (Mar. 27) as the Jaguars' lone participant at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State. Smith had the opportunity to run her first collegiate 10,000m race and didn't disappoint, taking advantage of fair conditions and a stout field. In doing so, Smith clocked a time of 36:08.19 under the lights, putting her No. 3 on the program's all-time list at the 10K distance. Teammate Wini Barnett will close out the meet on Saturday, competing in the 800m event.
