Second Varsity Eight Impresses for No. 23 Men鈥檚 Heavyweight Crew Against Holy Cross
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Holy Cross swept the No. 23 MIT men’s heavyweight crew team in first and second varsity eight and the third varsity four races in cold condition on Saturday morning on the Charles River. The teams raced in a slight crosswind and, despite the cold, enjoyed good racing conditions. The race of the day was the second varsity eight, where the MIT 2V nearly matched the speed of the Engineers’ top boat in finishing less than two seconds behind Holy Cross.
