Pride Taken Down by Piedmont Saturday
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro College Women’s Lacrosse team (2-9, 1-4) was unable to slow a fast-paced Piedmont (8-5, 6-0) attack on Saturday morning, falling 20–0 to the Lions in USA South Athletic Conference play at Pride Field. Piedmont jumped out to an early lead, scoring 10 times in the opening quarter to take control of the contest. Greensboro worked to settle defensively after the early surge, with goalkeeper Aaliyah Akers making several saves.
