No. 36 Men鈥檚 Tennis claims match at Averett in Top 2 ODAC battle
DANVILLE, Va. 鈥� The No. 36 Washington and Lee men’s tennis team remained undefeated in ODAC play, while also handing Averett its first conference loss of the season, in a 5-2 win on Saturday afternoon. HOW IT HAPPENED: The Cougars (5-5, 5-1 ODAC) grabbed the early lead when Sam Egui and Rafael Jodas won the clinching point with a 7-6 (7) victory at No. 3 doubles. Doubles matches No. 1 and 2 were split by the teams, 6-4, apiece. The Generals (6-9, 5-0 ODAC) rallied in singles play and won the next three team points to grab a 3-1 lead.…
