M眉ller and Mireles Win Matches in Conference Opener
WACONIA, Minn. 鈥� The University of Minnesota Morris women’s tennis team was defeated 5-2 in its first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference match on Saturday in Waconia, Minn. Kristen M眉ller and Mariah Mireles earned the two points for UMM. In doubles play, UMM kept the matches close but ultimately dropped the point. At No. 1 doubles, M眉ller and Jhazlyn Wynne were defeated 6-4, while Mireles and Katharine Kelm fell 7-5. In singles, M眉ller went 2-0, winning her sets 7-6 and 7-5 at No. 2 singles.
