Meyer Leads SMWC Effort Against Georgetown (Ky.)
SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – Georgetown College handed Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College a straight-set loss Saturday morning, defeating the Pomeroys 25-23, 25-20, 25-22 in River States Conference men's volleyball action at the Knoerle Center. SMWC (24-6, 6-5 RSC) battled throughout the match, opening with a tightly contested first set that featured 14 kills and a .214 hitting percentage. Georgetown (14-7, 9-2 RSC) responded with efficient offense, hitting .278 in the opening frame before pulling away late for the two-point win.
