ORANGE, Calif. – No. 24 Cal Lutheran baseball delivered one of its grittiest efforts of the season Friday afternoon, but a marathon battle ultimately slipped away in a 12-inning, 8-7 loss at Chapman. The Kingsmen struck first in the opening inning, as Jacob Blickenderfer drove in Wes Lynch with an RBI single to give Cal Lu an early 1-0 edge.
