IUP falls to Grand Valley State, finishes as national runner-up
PITTSBURGH – A historic season for Indiana (Pa.) women’s basketball came up one game short of the program’s first team national championship, as the Crimson Hawks fell to Grand Valley State Lakers, 72-49, on Saturday. Senior Nyshae Weaver and junior Teresa Maggio were named to the all-tournament team. Maggio led IUP with 20 points, while Weaver finished with eight points and six rebounds. Grand Valley State jumped out to a 10-2 lead and maintained control throughout.
