Huntington鈥檚 Reid places eighth at state
Huntington senior Solomon Reid finished up a stellar high school career by placing eighth at the THSPA State Powerlifting Meet Friday in Abilene. He finished as a four-time regional qualifier, a two-time regional champion and a three-time state qualifier. He holds the regional bench press record with a 485-pound lift. His school records include a 700-pound squat, a 485-pound bench press and a 1,700-pound total. In addition to those honors, Reid is also a first-team selection on the THSPA All-State Academic Team. He has been offered to continue his powerlifting career at Missouri Valley College.
