ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ Cowboy and Cowgirl tennis teams dropped the opening match of American Southwest Conference play on Saturday to Mary Hardin-Baylor, with the women down 6-1 and the men dropping the final match 4-3 at the Streich Tennis Center. The Cowgirls took the first flight doubles match with Sydney Tomlin and Brenna Gordon winning 7-5. Tomlin won again at the first flight of singles for the point, winning 5-7, 6-0, 6-3 in a comeback against Jolin Ha. The Cowboys went down to the final pairing in the 4-3 loss on Saturday.
