Hornets Drop to Maroons in Salem, 14-9
SALEM, Va. — The Lynchburg Hornets women’s lacrosse team fell on the road in an ODAC affair to the Roanoke Maroons, 14-9 Saturday afternoon. Sydney Dumas, Elizabeth Poitras, and McKenna Steinau each led the Hornets with two goals apiece, while Steinau added an assist for a team-high three points. Emmy Clay, Isabella Vogel, and Lily Messineo each found the back of the net once, with Messineo and Neely Morris contributing assists. Morris finished with a team-best two assists.
