Grinnell women鈥檚 tennis squad strolls past Coe by 6-1 margin
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Grinnell College’s women’s tennis team celebrated its leap into the national rankings with a 6-1 decision at Coe College Saturday. The 37th-ranked Pioneers swept through doubles play with victories by the duos of Paige Sargent ’27-Isa Voinescu ’26 (7-6), Pari Chavan ’27-Logan Tom ’29 (6-1) and Tan Mukherjee ’26-Eliana Martin ’29 (6-3). The 10-4 Pioneers finished off the victory with wins at the Nos. 1 through singles spots with Chavan (6-4, 6-1), Sargent (6-3, 3-6, 10-7), Tom (6-1, 6-1), Marta Gonzalez ’29 (6-2, 6-1) and Martin (6-4, 6-0).
