Grinnell keeps its winning ways going as Raymond ties school home run record
GALESBURG, Ill. – Grinnell College’s baseball team remained lightning-hot Saturday, getting a school-record performance and blowing past Knox College in a doubleheader to open Midwest Conference play. The Pioneers opened the day in a slugfest, rapping out 16 hits and taking advantage of eight Prairie Fire errors in a 20-13 victory. Grinnell finished off the sweep with a 15-8 victory, running its winning streak to five games. Wyatt Raymond ’28 tied the school record for home runs in the second contest with three round-trippers.
