Gerres, Roemer Highlight Raleigh Relays Performances
MINNEAPOLIS 鈥� The University of Minnesota track and field team produced two program top 10 performances at the 2026 Raleigh Relays at Paul Derr Track this weekend. Emmett Gerres and Izzy Roemer both put forth career-best runs for the Maroon and Gold. Gerres broke through in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:32.56 to finish fourth overall in a stacked field. Gerres’ time of 8:32.56 is the fastest time in the event since 2023 when Olympian Matthew Wilkinson finished sixth at the USA Championships in 2023 in a time of 8:23.69.
