Colonels Swept in Road Series at Lamar
BEAUMONT, Texas - The Nicholls State University softball team took an early lead but two big innings by Lamar would be too much to overcome as the Colonels fell 7-2 in the series final on Saturday afternoon at the LU Softball Complex. The loss was the fourth straight for Nicholls (19-16, 7-5 SLC) and the first sweep of the season. Lamar improved to 21-15 and 8-4 in the SLC as they extended its winning streak to 10 games.
