Baseball travels to PAC-leading W&J
WASHINGTON, Pa. (March 28) – The Waynesburg University baseball team traveled to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday for a doubleheader with the perennial Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) powerhouse. The Yellow Jackets were swept by the final scores of 16-4 and 9-1. Things started well for the Jackets (8-14, 1-5) who opened a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning thanks to a failed pickoff move that resulted in junior Ian Trott (Clairton, Pa. / Pittsburgh Central Catholic) and freshman Eli Boring (Latrobe, Pa. / Greater Latrobe) scoring during the chaos.
