Rock wins pole vault at Carnegie Mellon
PITTSBURGH–Westminster freshman Aubrey Rock (Butler, Pa., Butler) earned a first-place finish in the pole vault Friday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. Rock, coming off an eighth-place, All-America finish at the Division III Indoor Championships on March 19, cleared 3.86 meters (12-08) to top the 21-competitor field. Senior Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview) registered a fourth-place finish in the shot put with a top mark of 12.55 meters (41-02.25). She also finished 18th in the hammer throw (36.84m, 120-10). Sophomore Grace Iwig (Greensburg, Pa., Hempfield) tied for sixth place in the pole vault, clearing 3.46 meters (11-04.25).
