Norse Drop Series Opener to Spartans 9-8 鈥� Double Header Tomorrow
Luther and the University of Dubuque played the first of three games this afternoon at Dan Runkle Field in Dubuque. The Spartans scored nine runs on six hits and defeated the Norse 9-8. The Norse tallied 11 hits but never led in this game. They tied it up 7-7 in the top of the seventh, but gave up what proved to be the game winning runs in the bottom of the same frame. The Norse scored a run in the top of the ninth and had two runners on with two outs but could not drive in the tieing run.…
