RALEIGH, N.C. – Wichita State's Elkana Kipruto opened up his outdoor campaign with a school record-breaking win Thursday evening at the Raleigh Relays. In a field of 227 runners including five other American Conference athletes, the sophomore from Kapsabet, Kenya claimed the 5,000-meter title, running a personal-best time of 13:35.77.
