Sam Ortner Named USC Scholar All-Region Honoree
3/26/2026 9:38:00 AM Greencastle, Ind. – United Soccer Coaches (USC) named DePauw goalkeeper, Sam Ortner, as Second Team Scholar All-Region. Sam Ortner (Jr., Wauwatosa, Wis./Wauwatosa East) was among 70 Division III men to garner USC Scholar All-Region accolades. 25 student-athletes were chosen in the All-North/Central Region. Ortner was named to the Second Team as a kicker. United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Senior College recognition requires student-athletes to be a junior or above, have at least a 3.40 cumulative GPA, play at least 75% of games, and be nominated by a United Soccer Coaches member institution.
