Baseball Drops Road Trip Opener To Whittier
WHITTIER, Calif. 鈥� The Whitman College baseball team opened its Southern California road trip with an 11-4 loss to Whittier College on Thursday afternoon at Mendez Stadium. Whittier did most of its damage with 10 runs across the second and third innings to build a double-digit lead. Whitman (5-14) scored twice in the fifth and added two more runs in the eighth but could not close the gap. The middle of the Whitman order supplied the offense.
