COLUMBIA, S.C. – Senior Sophie Verzyl has been named the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Diver of the Year, the organization announced on Tuesday. She becomes the first Gamecock in program history to earn the honor. Verzyl captured her first national title last week in the 3-meter dive at the 2026 NCAA Championships, marking the first national title in the event in program history.
