Softball Sweeps NYU, 4-2 and 9-2
Weehawken, N.J. 鈥� The Stevens Institute of Technology softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader against NYU on Wednesday afternoon at Weehawken Waterfront Park. The Ducks (12-8) opened the day with a 4-2 victory before completing the sweep with a 9-2 win in game two. HOW IT HAPPENED Stevens wasted no time in game one, scoring twice in the opening frame. Emma Quattrochi was hit by a pitch to lead off and came around to score on a Madison DiSarno single. Carmelita Murphy-Brown later scored on a double to center by first-year Isabela Lipsky to give the Ducks a 2-0 lead.…
