Sanders Named MEAC Softball Rookie of the Week
NORFOLK, Va., 鈥� South Carolina State freshman outfielder Lanasia Sanders has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, the league announced. Sanders (Fr., OF, Walterboro, S.C.) batted a .571 with an RBI and a run scored, helping South Carolina State to a series sweep over Coppin State. Others earning honors were, Howard senior Maryn Jordan was named MEAC Softball Player of the Week, while Norfolk State’s Maddy Morris was recognized as pitcher of the Week.
