Foust鈥檚 8th Inning Blast Rescues Mammoths in 5-4 Win
AMHERST, Mass. — Sophomore Leo Foust’s 2-out, 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning erased a one-run deficit and lifted the Amherst College baseball team to a stunning 5-4 victory over Western New England University in the Mammoths’ home opener at Memorial Field Wednesday. It was the sixth straight victory for Amherst, which improved to 10-2 on the season. The Mammoths host Wesleyan Friday at 4 p.m. in the first game of three with the Cardinals this weekend.
