Cruthis Earns Pair of Weekly SWAC Honors
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University freshmen utility player Grace Cruthis was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Softball Hitter and Newcomer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. Cruthis batted .643 during Alabama A&M's conference sweep of Mississippi Valley State over the weekend. She went 9-for-14 at the plate, with four extra-base hits, including three triples and one double. The Patterson, Calif. native drove in seven and scored six times. In addition, she went 4-for-5 in the stolen base department. In the series opener, Cruthis went 4-for-4, with two runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases....
