Chiles voted SAA Player of the Week
SEWANEE, Tenn. 鈥� Sewanee’s Turner Chiles earned SAA Men’s Golf Player of the Week accolades after tying the school single-round record and taking low medalist honors at the Jekyll Island Collegiate, as announced by the league office Wednesday. The Houston, Texas, native tied the school single-round record with a bogey-free eight-under par 64 in the first round, posting six birdies plus an eagle. He followed that with two rounds of four-under par 68 to win low medalist honors. Chiles played 33 holes before making a bogey, his only bogey of the tournament.
