WashU Distance Classic Schedule Shift Moves UIS Action to Friday
The Illinois Springfield track & field team has announced a minor adjustment to its competition schedule for the upcoming weekend. Due to forecasted high temperatures, the 10,000-meter heats at the WashU Distance Classic have been moved from Thursday to Friday morning. The change condenses all UIS participation at the meet into a single day of competition on Friday. Following the Distance Classic, the Prairie Stars will continue with their originally planned schedule, competing at the Big Blue Outdoor Opener on Saturday. Updates and results from both meets will be available following competition.
