UNK Athletics Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney women's golf team shot a 54-hole total of 908 to tie for first place at the annual Firekeeper Open Tuesday in Mayetta, Kan. The two-day tournament was hosted by Washburn at the par 72 Firekeeper G.C. (5,820 yards). The 13 teams played 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday; the average overall score was 81.2 (325 for a team). UNK had rounds of 313, 299 and 296 to tie the host Ichabods (309-298-301) for first.
