Stranded runners haunt Knights in loss to Williams

DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Carleton College baseball team put 14 men on base, but couldn’t score any of them in an 8-0 loss to Williams College. The Ephs (4-4) tallied a run in the top of the first thanks to an RBI triple by Marcus Burrell II. Carleton (2-9) led off the second with consecutive singles, but both runners were stranded after lefty hurler Michael Amendola struck out a trio of Knights.
