Softball falls short to Carleton
CLERMONT, Fla. — The Augustana Vikings softball team fell to the Claremont Knights on Tuesday by a score of 4-3. Both teams remained scoreless in the opening inning before Carleton tallied two in the top of the second to gain the early lead. The Vikings fired back after Alaina Diaz homered to right field to get on the board at 2-1. Augie drew the score even in the following inning after Lilli Burton doubled to deep center and rounded home when Emma Schmidt singled to center field.
