Softball edged by Kentucky on Tuesday night
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Bellarmine softball turned in a solid all-around performance on Tuesday night but, it wasn't enough to overcome Kentucky as the Knights fell 3-1 at John Cropp Stadium. Despite the final score leaning in Kentucky's favor, Bellarmine (10-20, 3-3 ASUN) played well in its fourth meeting with the Wildcats. Sophomore Makenzie Cowburn turned in another impressive outing in the circle, tossing a 6.0 inning complete game, allowing three runs (two earned) on just four hits with five strikeouts to five walks.
