Softball Drops Doubleheader to Waynesburg
MEADVILLE, Pa. 鈥� The Allegheny softball team continued Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) play with a home doubleheader against Waynesburg Tuesday (March 24), falling in both contests. The Gators dropped game one 8-3. In a game two shortened to six innings due to darkness, the Gators comeback bid fell short as they fell 11-9. Game One – Waynesburg 8, Allegheny 3 Waynesburg got out to an early lead, scoring a run in the first. They threatened for more with a runner on second, but right fielder Jayla Jones (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) threw out a runner trying to take third after a flyout.…
