Smeal Named SCAC Field Athlete of the Week
Colorado College sophomore Oliver Smeal has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week after shattering his own school record in the javelin last weekend. Smeal tossed the javelin 209′ 8″ last Saturday at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invite in Pueblo. His throw surpassed his old record of 181′ 9″ and is the fourth-best throw in all of Division III this season. He was also a member of the second-place 4×100 relay and fifth place 4×400 relay. The Tigers head back to Pueblo this weekend for the Chuck Haering Invitational, March 27-28.
