Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Mount Olive women's track and field athletes Essence Slate and Janara Bryant were able to claim this week's athlete of the week awards following their performances at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Bryant, a sophomore from Beaufort, NC took home first place in the triple jump at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational by setting a NCAA provisional mark of 13.11 meters.
