Siegel hires Lynus Martin as boys basketball coach
Siegel stayed within the program in naming its next boys basketball coach. Lynus Martin, who has been an assistant on the staff since 2023 and has almost 20 years of head coaching experience, was named the Stars' coach on March 24. Martin replaces Matt Rigsby, who resigned in early March. Martin was the head boys basketball coach at Monterey (2021-23), where he went 34-32 overall. He spent 16 years as head coach at DeKalb County (2002-18), going 276-203 and leading the Tigers to a 30-win season and sectional appearance in 2013.
