Sheils Donegan Makes Eight Straight Birdies, Shoots 62
North Carolina’s Niall Sheils Donegan birdied eight consecutive holes and went on to shoot 9-under-par 62 Tuesday to lead the Tar Heels to the fourth-best round of the day and an eighth-place finish in the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at the Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla. The 62 was Sheils Donegan’s lowest-ever competitive round, and it equaled the third-best 18-hole score ever by a Tar Heel.
