Routt notches lone goal in Mona Shores soccer victory over West Ottawa
LocalSportsJournal.com The Mona Shores girls soccer team bounced back from their season-opening loss and blanked West Ottawa 1-0 on Tuesday. The game was at a stalemate after one half, but Makinley Younts managed to find Cassie Routt for the lone score with 16 minutes left to play. Kendall Berguis, Keaton VerMerris, Hadley Kinney and Madelyn DeWitt were key contributors for the Sailors. Goalkeeper Amelia Duff posted the first shutout of the season. Mona Shores (1-1) takes a trip to Grandville on Thursday.
