Panich, Rice, Smith Earn Academic All-District Recognition
GREENWOOD, Ind.鈥� Laney Panich (Wautoma, Wis./Wautoma) , Maija Rice (L’Anse, Mich./L’Anse Area) and Karissa Smith (Freedom, Wis./Appleton North) of the UW-Stevens Point women’s basketball team were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, announced Tuesday (Mar. 24). CSC Release Panich earned her first CSC Academic All-District honor. This season, she started in 25 games and played in all 26 games for the Pointers. The sophomore recorded 95 total points this season, including a free-throw percentage of .583, a field goal percentage of .324 and a three-point percentage of .234.
