Mia Coots and Emily Wheeler Earn Weekly MCBSA Honors
GORHAM, Maine 鈥� Sophomore Mia Coots (Newport, Maine/Nokomis) and freshman Emily Wheeler (Old Town, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies’ softball team have each earned weekly honors from the Maine College Baseball & Softball Association (MCBSA). Coots was named the Pitcher of the Week, while Wheeler was selected as the Rookie of the Week. Coots was dominant in the circle across three appearances last week, posting a 3-0 record with an impressive 1.20 earned run average and a 0.47 WHIP.
