BRISTOL, R.I. 鈥� The College Sports Communicators announced their Academic All-District Team for the sport of basketball on Tuesday, naming Ryan Higgins (Boston, Mass.), Ty Higgins (New Marlborough, Mass.), Ryan Hammarlund (Southington, Conn.), and Philip Sughrue (Winchester, Mass.) to the recognition. To qualify for the team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. They must also be at least a sophomore in both academics and athletics, and meet specific transfer GPA rules, if applicable.
