Injuries derail No. 33 Knights in Spring Break opener

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The No. 33-ranked Carleton College women’s tennis team lost its Spring Break opener, falling 4-3 to regional foe University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Warhawks (7-3) swept the three doubles matches, prevailing 6-2, 6-3, and 7-5, respectively at No. 1 through No. 3 doubles. UW-Whitewater added a victory at No. 5 singles when Carleton’s (8-3) Varinn Sood was forced from the match due to an injury.
