GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday afternoon that Temple University men's basketball senior guard Derrian Ford was named to the Academic All-District Team. The award recognizes top student-athletes for their work on the court and in the classroom. Ford, a continuing studies major, holds a 3.8 cumulative grade point average. To be eligible for Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above.
