Bernardo Aguiar Named MWC Performer of the Week
Wezizwe Harding Lake Forest College men’s tennis player Bernardo Aguiar was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday. Aguiar helped the Foresters post a 7-0 victory at Hope College last Friday. He and senior George Ciuca tripled up their opponents at #2 doubles to start the match and Aguiar’s hard-fought 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 6-4 triumph at #2 singles clinched the victory for Lake Forest. Friday’s victories evened Aguiar’s singles record this season at 7-7 and raised his doubles mark to 10-6. The junior is now 78-55 in singles and doubles combined in his collegiate career.
