Barnes Named West Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year
Colorado College senior Rabbit Barnes was named the Division III West Region Male Athlete of the Year for indoor track by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Barnes finished runner-up in the mile at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, which was the best result by any athlete from the West Region. He finished the race with a time of 4:14.39, just behind Jack Brown of Central College, whose winning time was 4:14.01.
