Bakaityte Named American Women鈥檚 Tennis Player of the Week
IRVING 鈥� Rice junior Uma Bakaityte was named the American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Bakaityte went 4-0 across singles and doubles as the Owls recorded a pair of wins, defeating Tulsa 7-0 and Louisiana Tech 4-0. The honor is the first of the season and the second weekly conference award for the Owls this season. In doubles, Bakaityte teamed with Darya Schwartzman for two wins.
