Women’s Lacrosse Falls To Chapman
WALLA WALLA, Wash. — The Whitman College women’s lacrosse team fell to Chapman University, 13-4, on Monday afternoon at James Hayner Field, with Sarah Hawkins scoring two of the Blues’ four goals in the nonconference matchup. Whitman opened the scoring on a goal from Lola McConaghy, but Chapman answered quickly and gradually pulled away behind a balanced attack that produced 13 goals on 33 shots. Hawkins scored once in the third quarter and again early in the fourth, while Serafin Miller added Whitman’s other goal late in the game on a free-position shot.
