Liberty Tops Women’s Tennis at Home
FARMVILLE, Va. — The Longwood women's tennis team fell to Liberty, 7-0 at the New Lancer Courts on Monday. Liberty (11-5) claimed the doubles point to open the match, winning on courts two and three, respectively. First, Daniella O'Neill and Milana Tsulygina defeated Feline van Eijkelenburg, 6-1, before Anika Lemus and Candy Wai topped Hima Fernando and Elisaveta Gnilozubova, 7-5. No. 1 doubles between Liberty's Yoanna Radulova and Maria Turchetto and Longwood's Oriana Izarra and Bali Song went unfinished at 6-6 and the Flames' pair leading, 6-3, in a tiebreaker.
