UIS Softball Dominates Southwest Baptist with 8-0, 5-0 Wins
The Illinois Springfield softball team (21-9, 5-3) earned a dominant doubleheader sweep over Southwest Baptist (13-17, 3-5) on Sunday, winning 8-0 and 5-0. The Prairie Stars combined strong pitching performances from Rosie Bartletti and Calista Stahlhut with opportunistic offense, taking advantage of defensive miscues and delivering a decisive four-run sixth inning in game two. “It was great to see our team respond today,” said head coach Shannon Guthrie .
